16 Unmissable Sardinia Beaches
Looking to relax in those picture-perfect Sardinia beaches? Sardinia offers one-of-a-kind beaches, featuring blue turquoise waters and impressive landscapes in Italy, perfect to soak up the sun and indulge. Sardinia beaches also offer excellent options for underwater sports, or even hiking.
Let’s dive into it. Here’s my top 10 Sardinia Beaches you need to know:
Sardinia Beaches
1. Cala Corsara, La Maddalena
Nested in the stunning Island of Spargi, in La Maddalena, Cala Corsara features one of the top Sardinia beaches for me. Here, you’ll be greeted with crystal clear waters on an impressive landscape, surrounded by imponent rocks.
Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted with the bluest water I’ve ever seen on the island! This beach is also well known for paddle boarding. The good news is: that most Catamaran tours provide time for this unmissable experience.
The beach that has conquered my heart!
2. Cala Mariolu, Gulf di Orosei
Among the best Sardinia Beaches is Cala Mariolu. Cala Mariouly, nested in Gulf di Orosei, is a piece of paradise in Sardinia having been awarded one of the most idyllic beaches worldwide by ‘The World’s 50 Best Beaches’. This natural wonder enchants visitors for its unique landscape, filled with unbelievable blue waters.
Moreover, the beach is a favorite spot for lovers of underwater activities, offering excellent snorkeling and diving experiences.

3. Piscine di Venere, Gulf di Orosei
Piscine di Venere, as the name suggests, is a pool of unbelievable blue, clear waters offering an ambiance hard to believe exists. Almost feels like a dream!
The beach can only be reached by boat, being a must-stop if you explore the Gulf di Orosei. Not all boat tours will stop at this beach. For that reason, I highly recommend renting a boat on your own. It will be great to explore the Gulf di Orosei at your own pace, which can lead to a better experience in Sardinia.

4. Caprera, La Maddalena
Known for its blue water and majestic cliffs, Caprera is another island in Sardinia that promises to surprise. The island can be easily reached from La Maddalena Island by a bridge.
Once you arrive, head to Spiaggia di Cala Coticcio and Spiaggia del Relitto. Deep breath… You’re about to see more breathtaking beaches in Sardinia!

5. Cala Brandinchi, San Teodoro
Nested in the region of San Teodoro, Cala Brandinchi is another Sardinia beach you must add to your list. This natural wonder stands out for its wide extension of blue waters, making up for a perfect beach day.
There is a charming little caffé where you can order a refreshing drink before heading back into the crystal-clear waters, admiring the sea’s underwater beauty. Plus, the beach is an incredible location to go snorkeling or diving.
6. Lu Impostu Beach, San Teodoro
Just a 5-minute walk from Cala Brandinchi is Cala Lu Importu!
A beach that offers clear & blue waters, although in my opinion is not as impressive as Cala Brandinchi, but surely deserves a visit!

7. Spiaggia La Cinta, San Teodoro
Spiaggia La Cinta is another spectacular beach, nested in the beautiful region of San Teodoro. This beach is known for its extensive white-sand shores stretching out under the Mediterranean sun.
If you’re looking for a beach with plenty of space and blue turquoise waters during the crowded season, this is the place to be!

9. Cala Goloritzé, Gulf di Orosei
Cala Goloritzé ranks as one of the top Sardinia beaches of all time. For a good reason!
As you approach Cala Goloritzé, the first thing that strikes you is the mesmerizing high pinnacle 143 meters above the cove. As the sun hits the water, it only makes the beach more extraordinary.
Just like other Sardinia beaches located in the Gulf di Orosei, you can visit the beach either by walking or by boat. I highly recommend doing a boat tour, or renting a boat for your own, as it provides a much more impressive experience. Check out the tours below.

13. Cala Luna, Gulf di Orosei
With its unique wide-open cave and blue waters, it’s no surprise Cala Luna is one of the most visited Sardinia beaches!
I have to say: Cala Luna wasn’t as impressive as other Sardinia beaches. The beach is still considered one of the best Sardinia beaches in Gulf di Orosei. However, if your time is limited I highly recommend you visit Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé, or Piscine di Venere instead.

14. Spiaggia di Tuerredda, Teulada
Spiaggia di Tuerredda, nested in the southwest of Sardinia, is another idyllic Sardinia beach featuring crystal-clear waters. The landscapes are heaven for beach lovers, making it another excellent beach to visit on the island.
However, be aware that during the peak season, the beach can be overly crowded leaving you feeling suffocated or lacking privacy.
15. Santa Maria, La Maddalena
Don’t go to La Maddalena without adding Spiaggia di Santa Maria to your itinerary!
This Sardinia beach, on Santa Maria Island, offers a relaxing ambiance and one of the bluest waters I have seen in Sardinia. To get around, an excellent option is to do a boat tour aboard a Catamaran. But in case you want to stay for – let’s say – a complete afternoon, rent a boat or use public transportation.

16. Spiaggia del Grande Pevero, Porto Cervo
Lastly, Spiaggia del Grande Pevero! A beach that is located in a charming, luxurious region in Sardinia, named Porto Cervo.
Porto Cervo is all about luxury. Luxury restaurants and high-end accommodations characterize Porto Cervo, being a great spot to visit in the island. Furthermore, Spiaggia del Grande Pevero is only a few minutes from the center, making it an excellent Sardinia beach worth a visit.
Sardinia is known as a top luxury destination for beach lovers in the world, offering great opportunities for underwater activities such as snorkeling and diving. Sardinia beaches are made up of dramatic cliffs, blue waters, one-of-a-kind landscapes, and even pinky sand hues.
