2. Jolly Hall Beach

Jolly Hall Beach is a hidden gem just a short drive from George Town, offering calm, crystal-clear waters and soft, white sand. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, take a swim, or simply soak in the serene surroundings. The shallow waters make it an excellent choice for families with kids, and the gentle waves are great for paddleboarding. There are no beach chairs or facilities, so don’t forget to bring everything you need for a relaxing day. The best way to get to Jolly Hall Beach is through a small, unmarked path off the main road. 3. Cocoplum Beach

Cocoplum Beach is famous for its shallow, crystal-clear waters and the chance to find beautiful sand dollars at low tide. This is one of the best beaches in Exuma for wading in the warm ocean while enjoying the incredible scenery. The water here is so shallow that you can walk far out into the sea without it getting too deep. It’s also a great spot for kayaking and paddleboarding. Since it’s off the beaten path, you’ll likely have the beach almost to yourself. There are no facilities nearby, so bring snacks and plenty of water. To get here, follow the dirt road off the Queen’s Highway. The road is challenging, but it will be worth it.

4. Pig Beach

Have you heard of the swimming pigs? These cute pigs have a beach all to themselves, known as the Pig Beach or Big Major Cay. To reach this beach, you’ll need to take a boat tour which will take you roughly 30 minutes from Barraterre Dock, where most of the tours depart. Once you arrive, starving pigs will swim right off the boat. While these animals are cute, they are still wild animals and require caution. Please be careful if you’re holding food in your hands. The pigs may become aggressive. Thanks to the swimming pigs, this is one of the most iconic beaches in Exuma.

5. Iguana Beach

Uncrowded sands and iguanas – with no one around. This is the kind of experience you’ll find in Iguana Beach. Just like Pig Beach, to visit the beach you will need to take a boat tour from the same port. These friendly animals may seem intimidating, but they are harmful and quite unique. Once you step onto the beach, you’ll feel like you are in another unreal bucket list location in The Bahamas. Don’t skip this beach.
